The 2020 Jazz Prize goes to Silke Eberhard and is awarded jointly by the Senate Department for Culture and Europe and Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg. The award ceremony and concert will take place on August 13 in the small broadcasting hall of the rbb as part of Jazz Week.
The Berlin Jazz Prize was established on the initiative of IG Jazz Berlin and IG Jazz sends a representative of the Berlin jazz scene to the jury.
The award ceremony featured a concert from Silke’s trio // Jan Roder (bass) and Kay Lübke(drums). Unfourtunately the recording of this performance is no longer published, so here is another performance from Zig Zag.
