La sassofonista, clarinettista e compositrice Silke Eberhard è una delle protagoniste della scena jazz berlinese da molti anni. Il suo trio con Jan Roder e Kay Lübke si è formato nel 2006, ma la storia di Eberhard con i due musicisti risale alla metà degli anni Novanta. L’intenso rapporto tra i tre è percepibile in ogni nota. Il trio si muove nella fiera tradizione dei trii jazz di sassofoni ed esegue composizioni proprie, altamente originali. La loro arte ispira con maestria musicale, intensità improvvisativa, arguzia e fascino, forgiando al contempo accenti forti attraverso la fiducia reciproca e il sound particolare della band. “Il trio esegue i suoi brani complessi e variegati con aplomb e virtuosismo spontaneo. Allo stesso tempo, catturano una qualità esplosiva, che sfida i limiti”, scrive Kevin Whitehead nelle note di copertina del loro disco Being -A-Ning.

In March 2022, Joe Fonda and Silke Eberhard met at the Downtown Music Record Store in New York, and just six months later they were on stage together with Austrian drummer Emil Gross in Berlin. The Josilemi Trio was born. The collective trio’s compositions and improvisations are powerful, driving, elegant, structured and refined, combining diverse influences with improvisational inspiration. It is music that is completely connected to the moment and yet totally future-oriented.
